Lak Jaya Micro Finance Limited (Lak Jaya) is a public limited liability company established under the Companies Act, 2007, regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under Micro Finance Act. No. 06th of 2016. The company started operations in 2002. In 2006, Lak Jaya adopted the ASA methodology and sought technical support from ASA Bangladesh for implementing it. In 2008, it was acquired by ASA International, one of the world’s largest international microfinance institutions in the world.
WHO ARE WE
Lak Jaya is a for-profit deposit-taking microfinance institution, providing small, socially responsible loans for income-generating purposes to low-income, predominantly female entrepreneurs. They provide these loans using the ASA Model of microfinance.
